Affiliate disclosure
Arènes d’Arles takes part in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. When you book a tour through a link or a booking widget on this site, GetYourGuide pays me a commission. It comes out of their margin, not your pocket: you pay what you would have paid going to GetYourGuide directly.
Which links are affiliate links
Every link and widget that leads to GetYourGuide: the tour cards, the availability calendars, the “check dates” buttons and the links inside the reviews. They carry a partner code that tells GetYourGuide the booking came from here. Links to the Office de Tourisme d’Arles, to the events box office at arenes-arles.com, and to other pages on this site are not affiliate links and earn nothing.
What the commission does not cover
Monument tickets and the Arles passes are sold by the Office de Tourisme, at the door and online, and I earn nothing when you buy one. Spectacle tickets for the ferias and concerts are sold by the box office at arenes-arles.com, and I earn nothing there either. The only thing that pays for this site is a tour booked through GetYourGuide.
How it affects what I write
It does not decide what goes on the page, and the site is built so that it cannot. The advice that suits most readers, that you can walk into the arena with a ticket from the door and need no tour at all, earns me nothing. The tour reviews quote the criticism in the public GetYourGuide reviews by name, including the value score on the private walk and the self-guided format of the day trips. Ratings and review counts are GetYourGuide’s own figures at the time of writing. I do not accept payment from operators for placement, and no operator has seen a review before it was published.
If any of this is unclear, write to me.
